Top 3 movies that missed Best Picture in Oscars

Every year is not same and every movie doesn’t qualify for it: For what? The Best Picture Awards.Even though there are many parameters for a movie to get into the list, there is some movie that is everyone’s favorite and doesn’t get into this list. So, here we have compiled movies that top the list of getting Best Picture award.

Number #1: The Shawshank Redemption

Released in 1994, the Shawshank Redemption was directed by Frank Darabont. The cast includes Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman in the lead roles.After the murder of his wife, the American banker (Tim) is sent to prison, where he meets Morgan and becomes friends.Later along the story, he realizes when though he is imprisoned for life sentences, still the spirit inside his body has a freedom of imagination.

The movie had tough competition in 1994 against Forrest Gump and Lion King. In final, Forrest Gump made into the top of the list and won the best picture awards.

Number #2: 12 Angry Men (1957)

12 Angry Men is American court drama movie that been praised a lot by movie buffs around the globe. The 96 minutes drama happen only in the court room with 12 members of the jury, hearing the case of 18-year-old boy who is proclaimed to have stabbed his father to death. In order to make a decision, there must be unambiguous votes from the Jury members. But it fails.One Jury member votes that the teen is not guilty. So, the others in the Jury try to get him into their decision in this discussion a lot of things happen, where personal reason get in and the classic climax of what happens to the life of the boy, thrills.

 

It was inspired by a real jury duty experience

In 1957, Around the World in 80 Days won the Best Picture Awards.

Number #3: Saving Private Ryan.

Saving Private Ryan directed by Stephen Spielberg is the mother of all War movies. Portrayed in the time of World War II, the movie is about eight soldiers, trying to save the life of Ryan on the battlefield shortly after the D-Day. Caption Miller is given a mission of extracting  Private James Ryan, a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division, who is somewhere in the interior of Normandy and the US high command want him found and brought back safely. The soldiers walk hundreds of him and fight struggles to bring back this soldier back to home.

It is best of all war films ever made in Hollywood. Which is real and doesn’t have any exaggerated war fights.
